Kota Kinabalu: Aquaculture industry players in the State have been urged to produce nutritious, clean and chemical free marine food and thus ensuring plentiful and high quality Sabah's seafood supply.
Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Junz Wong said the Department of Fisheries Sabah (DOFS) has been collaborating very closely and assisting with several companies with their research technology and schemes as well as the Malaysia Good Aquaculture Practice (MyGAP).

“The department officials would collect samples from the farms once in six months for testing,” he said after visiting Bayu Aquaculture’s farm, in Tuaran, Friday.
He also called on young Sabahans to venture into aquaculture and agriculture farming.
“The ministry through DOFS has outlined various programmes and schemes to help agropreneurs venture into aquaculture.
“These include giving training in fish culture, conducting courses in fish feed production and formulation.
