TNB, SESB hand over home to Nabawan PMR recipent
NABAWAN: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) handed over a home to a needy B40 recipient under its TNB and SESB People-Friendly Project (PMR) on Friday.

The home was handed over at a brief ceremony in the district to the recipient under TNB and SESB’s People-Friendly Project (PMR) as part of its corporate social responsibility activities .

The recipient Edisi Bin Ensor, 30  was  grateful to TNB and SESB for being selected as the beneficiary of the home remedial assistance through the TNB and SESB PMR.

Before this they were only living in a small worn-out house in Kg Tonomon, Sapulut, Nabawan but because Edisi did not have a fixed job then, he was unable to provide a proper home for his family.

The house which began construction since October 2018 was fully sponsored by TNB / SESB.

The handover ceremony was officiated by Abdul Nasser Bin Abdul Wahid, Acting Managing Director of SESB and witnessed by SESB Corporate Communications Division General Manager Chendramata Sinteh and SESB Division General Manager Eddie Ahmad.

The TNB / SESB corporate responsibility program implemented in Sabah focuses on the less fortunate or the B40.

The implementation of the PMR is in line with the TNB Contribution and Sponsorship Policy where as a GLC-Linked Government Company, TNB supports the government’s inspiration on need to assist the poor and needy.

TNB is a caring and responsible corporate citizen, not just business profit alone. Most of the operating profit gained is returned to the people and the country through the implementation of CSR programs and activities such as the People ‘s Friendly Project as well as adding and upgrading the National electricity supply infrastructure.

In Sabah, TNB is assisted by SESB, a TNB subsidiary to coordinate the programme in four selected districts, Kota Marudu, Kota Belud, Tenom and Sapulut with a total project value of RM200,000.
