Kota Kinabalu: Newly-appointed Inanam People Development Leader (PKR) Ayen Sambuling, 51, has assured that he would carry out the responsibility entrusted to him with full commitment in the interest of the people in the locality.

In a statement here Friday, he described the task ahead as a heavy responsibility to be implemented with full confidence and tolerance, “although he was surprised by the appointment”.

Ayen, of Kampung Tampulan in Telipok representing Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), has succeeded Upko’s James Lee whose service was terminated from Jan 1.

“Personally, my position is not important but the responsibility entrusted to me must be accorded top priority, with the hope that I receive the full support of the people in the Inanam constituency,” he said.

Telipok Town Urban Community Committee (JKDB) Chairman Paul Yong and Kampung Nantal Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Chairman Gumu Gilong expressed optimism that the Inanam PKR office would live up to the expectations of the people in the area.

Ayen began his first task by accompanying Inanam Assemblyman Johnny Goh to inspect several projects being implemented in the constituency.
