Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) officials have replaced six people development leaders (PKRs) from Barisan Nasional components United Pasok-momogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), barely a year after being re-admitted into the coalition.Upko, led by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, saw five of its PKRs replaced, while PBRS lost one.
The Upko “casualties” are Datuk Saibul Supu (Tandek) who have been replaced by Anita Baranting, James Lee (Inanam) by Ayen Sambuling, Petrus Guriting (Tambunan) by Wllfredoline Jakil and Lee Kim Hwa (Kundasang) by Richard Foo, while the late Datuk Gisin Lombut (Kiulu) by Golubi Guntarik.
PBRS’ Datuk Kadoh Agundong (Malalap) was replaced by PBS’ Malalap Youth chief Balasius Masuning.
Most of these constituencies were won by the PBS, then the opposition, during the 1999 State election. The party gained readmission into the BN in January last year after a 10-year absence.
