Kota Kinabalu: Election Commission Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman heads the list of 489 recipients bestowed honours in conjunction with the 58th birthday of Head of State, Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah, Thursday.

Abdul Rashid received the State’s highest award - Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK) - which carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima.

Three others who also received the SPDK are former Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Wilfred Bumburing, Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) Director-General Datuk Zulkipli Mat Noor and developer Datuk Wong Kwok.

A total of 28 people received the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) which carries the title Datuk.

Among the PGDK recipients are Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Dr Yee Moh Chai, Beluran Member of Parliament Ronald Kiandee and Federal Secretary to Sabah, Dato Sulaiman Ibrahim.

Natural Resources Office Secretary Abdul Rahim Sidek, Fifth Infantry Brigade Commander Brig-General Shahrin Hj Abdul Majid, police officers SAC II Ali Hj Hanafiah and SAC II Amri Mohd Salleh, Resource Development and Information Technology Permanent Secretary John Maluda and Institute of Development Sabah (IDS) Executive Director Dr Mohd Yaakub Johari also received the PGDK.

Others who also received the PGDK are Shell Malaysia Chairman Jonathan Chadwick, Sabah MCA Vice Chairman Goh Ken Kuong, former Tawau Member of Parliament Chua Soon Bui, Sabah Girl Guides Chief Lee Kim Yeok @ Kim Chan and former Kuamut Assemblyman, Abdul Malek Chua.

Sabah Boxing Association President Orlando Harumal, United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu President Lau Kok Sing and Lintasan Resources Chairman Lim Pau Chang also received the PGDK.

The rest who received the PGDK are Asrie A Kadir, Abu Ali Ganturun, Alexander Khoo Kay Mian, Amin Arif, Chong Chun Chan @ Peter, KJ Joseph @ Kadappurathuthai Joseph, UMS Prof Mohd Yusof Kasim, Mok Kiong @ Mok Cheh Hiong, Richard Bainon @ Rayner, Yassin Haji Amit and Yusof Ampuan Kechil.

Seven received the Jaksa Pendamai (Justice of Peace) - Datuk Mohd Yussof Haji Yakob, Wilson Yong Tung Yung, Alexander Decena, Christopher Chin Soo Yin, Damianus Bianus Aludah, Liew Vui Keong and Salimi Maralim.

A total of 37 received the Alhi Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK) and among the recipients are Papar Member of Parliament Rosnah Abd Rashid Sharlin, Tunku Assemblyman Mohd Suhaili Said and Sabah Library Director Koo Joo Bee.

The Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK) was awarded to 76 people while 128 received the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK). Another 132 received the Bintang Kinabalu (BK) and 50 received the Sijil Kerhormat (SK).
