Amount climbs to RM224,000

Kota Kinabalu: Daily Express and Overseas Chinese Daily News collected another RM24,814.00 Tuesday for the tsunami victims - pushing the total to RM224,037.90.

The biggest contributor of the day was Ibrahim ME Sikkandar, who donated RM5,000, followed by Mr & Mrs Gregory Shim RM3,000, Mr Ng with a donation of RM2,000 and La Salle Secondary School with RM1,100. Contributing RM1,000 each were Jason Oh Kong Hock & family, Tuaran Superstore Sdn Bhd, Mirjan Sulaiman, Hainan Association of Kota Kinabalu, Rachel Lee Siew Fung, Lucy Homestay and two anonymous donors.

Adventure Tourney World Travel (Borneo) Sdn Bhd chipped in RM800, C & F Enterprise Sdn Bhd staff RM759, while Hee family, Lee Siu Fong @ Rose and Chang Heng Enterprise each donated RM500, followed by RM415 contributed by Reliance Shipping & Travel Agencies (KK) Sdn Bhd.

An amount of RM300 was donated by Tony Ng & family, RM340 by Bank Negara Malaysia KK, and RM200 each by Tai Hong Bin, Jerome Chong & family and Johnson, followed by an anonymous donor with RM150.

Contributing RM100 each were Wong En Min, Kwok Chang Vun, Teo Kian Siong, Teoh Yeong Cheng, Wong Ken Ming and Edward Hee & family, while RM50 each was contributed by Chin Boon Ho & family, Wong Xin Yi, Chin Tailor, Foong Pit Yun and Yong Kam Peng.

Poo Koon Hing, Augustine Wong Zhen Yi and Andy Wong Kwong Ming each contributed RM20, while an anonymous donor, Helen Wong Kee Huey and Wong Lee Yee each donated RM10.

Our offices at Tanjung Aru and Kampung Air are open to donors. All cheques should be crossed and made payable to "National Disaster Relief Fund", with name and address of donors on the back.

All monies collected would be channelled towards the fund.
