Kota Kinabalu: The tsunami victims' relief fund collected by Daily Express and Overseas Chinese Daily News expanded by another RM34,591.87 Monday, making the grand total on the final day's collections at RM396,105.32.
The biggest donation for the day came from General Assembly True Jesus Church Sabah with RM10,000 followed by the Rotary Club of KK South with RM6,000.
The Kinabalu Singh Sabha (Sikh Community KK) contributed RM2,372, while the International Rwo Shur Health donated RM1,500 and Taiji Qi Gung Voluntary Group Likas Sports Complex KK gave RM1,300.
A total RM1,166 was donated by Sabah College class 70/71 (Science/Art), while members of the Persatuan Barah Sabah, Datuk Juhar Mahiruddin, Li Su Fook and Family, The Print Shop and Yong Sai Kui donated RM1,000 each.
Badan Kebajikan Islam dan Kelab Sukan dan Rekreasi Perumahan (LPPB) contributed RM888, SMK San Zac teachers and students (RM800), MAS Sports Club (RM750), Lim Moi Chin and Family (RM500), Management and Staff of Kumpulan BTC (RM419.70) and Girl Guide Association Malaysia Sabah Branch (RM405).
Donating RM200 each were Mr and Mrs Chong Shu How, Lim Kiat Kong, Johnny Wong and Family and Stephen Wee, a group naming themselves Umno members chipped in RM150, while Nancy Fung Borneo Line Dance Group and Nancy Fung Gaya Ballroom Line Dance Group handed RM130 each.
Eng Chee Ping, Ma Min Leong, Madam Bui Yee Mui, Frank, Soh Kim Hock, Anna Liza Gagampang and Teo & Family donated RM100 each, while the KFC Karamunsing contributed RM56.
RM50 each were received from Chong Cheng Seong, Mr & Mrs Goh and Chang Swee Yee, J.P, while Michelle Teo donated RM30, Benjamin Teo and Tang Shui Yee donated RM20 each.
David Jayasuria and Wong Kun Lui donated RM10 each, while Luther Jayasuria and Livy Jayasuria gave RM5 each. Four people who donated as an anonymous gave RM200, RM133.17, RM50 and RM3. All the monies collected would be handed over to the National Disaster Relief Fund in Putrajaya soon.
