RM419,356.02 in two weeks!

Kota Kinabalu: The generosity of Malaysians in Sabah is simply endless. Last-minute contributions just before the Monday 5pm deadline saw the tsunami victims' relief fund set up by Daily Express and Overseas Chinese Daily News surpassing the RM400,000 mark. What a whopping amount within just two weeks! Donations coming in the last minute amounted to RM23,250.70 making the grand total RM419,356.02. The amount would be handed to the National Disaster Relief Fund in Putrajaya soon.

The biggest contribution of the day was from Sabah Ports Authority with RM6,535 followed by Finance Ministry Recreational, Welfare and Sports Club with RM3,838.

Teachers and students of SMK St Michael Penampang chipped in to donate RM1007.10 while the Koperasi Serbaguna Kakitangan Kementerian Kewangan Sabah Bhd donated RM1,000. An anonymous handed RM1,000. The other contributors were Hajah Fatimah Nadia Mastan (RM500), Hajah Jamillah Hj Ajamain (RM200), Danny & Family (RM100) and His Sanctuary of Glory Church (RM70.60). Once again a hearty thank you all who made it possible for the victims.
