Kota Kinabalu: Raleigh International has received RM100,000 from Coca-Cola for the construction of more gravity water feed projects in Sabah's interior.
A statement on Thursday said Raleigh International volunteers would be focusing their attention on Kampung Mohimboyon and Linapasan in the next three months.
Earlier this year, the partnership between the two entities saw the installation of a gravity water feed system at Kg Paus in Ranau.
The company's public affairs and communications director, Mohamed Kadri Mohamed Taib, said it's Coca-Cola's philosophy to assist underprivileged communities to have access to clean water under its Global Water Stewardship initiative.
He said that by helping rural villages to get access to fresh water, they are helping to ensure sustainable livelihoods and reduce the proportion of people who do not have access to basic sanitation.
