Kota Kinabalu: World Foochow Federation President Datuk Tiong Su Kuok installed the Sarawak-Sabah Foochow Association, Malaysia's new committee members in Kuala Lumpur on March 9.

He said the new committee members would have a tough task on their hands, as there are more than 30,000 Foochows in Malaysia, adding their first responsibility is to identify all the Foochows here and gather the issues affecting them.

Peace and unity are the foundation of a healthy and strong organisation, he said, and hoped the new executive committee would do their best to enhance the image of Foochows and organise activities that would bring them all together.

Philip Wong Pak Ming, president of Sarawak-Sabah Foochow Association, said his priorities are two pronged, which is first to ensure the association is relevant to its members and secondly to help the needy among the Foochows.
