KFHM head wins Asian Banker award

Kuala Lumpur: Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Bhd (KFHM) managing director K. Salman Younis has received the "Asian Banker Award" for Islamic Finance 2006.
KFHM said in a statement Monday that the award was announced Sunday at The Asian Banker Leadership Awards held in conjunction with The Asian Banker Summit in Jakarta.
The Asian Banker Summit is the largest gathering of financial services industry professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, and is held annually in different Asian cities.
KFH said Younis was chosen based on his involvement in Islamic finance in the country and his innovative approach for the growth of Islamic finance. - Bernama
