Kota Kinabalu: LG Electronic unveiled its latest and new edition of cellular phone, LG Shine model KE970, which is the latest in its premium Black Label series of mobile phone, here Monday.
The full-metal bodied slider phone offers mobile users the best of both worlds with amazing looks and a high technical specification including expandable memory (microSD card) and an auto focus camera by Schneider Kreuznach.
The LG 2.2" screen Shine is also equipped with a comprehensive media player with multi-codec support (MP3, and WAV) and real spectrum display. Shine also supports GORS and EDGE network compatibility, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
It's made of super thin brushed metal body and the magic mirror full colour screen.
Launched in Kota Kinabalu Monday, LG Electronic managing director and chief executive officer IG. Kim said LG Shine has sold 180,000 units since November 2006.
He said in Europe 200,000 units were sold within the first month of its launching, an average of 3,500 units sold a day.
He said LG was targeting sales of 78 million of LG's handphone globally including more than 13.5 million GSM units in Asia, the Middle East and Africa in 2007.
Kim added that LG Shine were available at all LG Mobile authorised dealers.
Meanwhile, Kim said cellular phone market trend in Malaysia had a great potential with demands growing steadily every year.
"The steady growth of demand is expected to increase between 10 to 20 per cent, especially new design and multi-function handphone appeared to be in great demand by younger generation," he said.
