Kuching: The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) does not want to form a government that will have only a slim majority but instead wants a big majority so that there can be a strong administration, said Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.Anwar claimed the Pakatan Rakyat, which now has 82 seats in Parliament, would topple the Barisan Nasional (BN) this year as there would be a mass crossover of BN MPs to the PR soon. "We do not want a majority of just two or three seats in Parliament, we want a bigger and more comfortable majority than that," he told a press conference here, Thursday.

For now, the PR, made up of PKR, DAP, PAS, was consolidating its grip on the five states the alternative coalition won in the March 8 election and was in no hurry to form the new government, he said."I will contest, maybe in Mambong (a parliamentary seat in Sarawak), after our agenda in the five states is on a firm footing," he said.- Bernama
