Kota Kinabalu: Dino Daud won the Men's title and Championship trophy at the inaugural Grand Borneo Hotel Golf Tournament 2009 held at the Sabah Golf and Country Club here, last Sunday.
Dino scored 65 on the cards to beat Datuk Paul Kong who carded 66 for second place and Michael Chiu NC in third place with 67.
Jason Jeonoi and Jason Wong, who scored 70 and 71 respectively, were the other winners.
The overall gross winner was Alexander Lau (77), followed by Shao Wei Ming (78), Danny Lim (par 78), Desmond Jong (par 80) Louis Samy (80).
In the senior section, Datuk Majin Anjin (68) emerged as the winner, while Yahya Gapar (71) and Raymond Lim (71) were the runners-up.
The Medal A category winners were Peter KF Tan (73), Joseph Lim V. K. (73) and Peter Kong (74).
Wong See King (68), Warrance Chan (70) and Martin Wong (71) won in the Medal B section.
Top three in Medal C were Charles Wong (68), David Ho (71) and Jordan Shim (71), while David Wan (69), Jimmy Liew (75) and Terry Wong (75) led the pack in the Medal D section.
There was also a Ladies section where G Bandusena (68) won the overall title to lift the championship trophy, while Mary Chung (69), Datin T. E. Lim (72), Nancy Lee (73), Rokia Daud (74) and Stela Wan (74) were the other winners.
Mayor of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Iliyas Ibrahim, was among the VIPs that played in the tournament, while Ho Chin Kiong (73), Chow Ann (74) and Taulani Hamzah (75) were the best players among the invitees.
