Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia's top-selling beer, Carlsberg, has not received any complaint on its bottles being re-filled with poor quality beer and sold in entertainment outlets in Sabah.
"We haven't come across any such reports in Sabah but we would certainly look into it if we get such reports," said Carlsberg Malaysia Executive Director, Datuk Chin Voon Loong, here, Friday.
"We will immediately dispatch a quality control team over here to check and verify whether such cases are valid because we are very particular about the quality of our beer," he pointed out.
The public can channel their complaints to Carlsberg offices here or in Tawau and Sandakan, he added.
Chin was responding to a query at the unveiling of the Carlsberg Profile bottle, specifically designed to make beer guzzlers feel "cool" holding and downing the drink.
The latest product, which will phase out the previous Carlsberg vichy bottle, is a reflection of the company's nationwide exercise to rejuvenate the brand image of its crown jewel.
The 325ml pint bottle has two vertical embossed Carlsberg logotypes running across the green transparent bottle.
Chin said the bottle was a new contemporary and elegant design, a fresh change from its last seasoned product.
"Our previous bottle we have had for a very long time and now it's the right time to change and to give more value to our customers.
"It is designed to make consumers feel very cool when they're holding and drinking from the bottle," he said.
He said the bottle had already been launched in the peninsula with rave reviews from their clientele, pointing out this was testament of their innovation, which was acknowledged when they recently secured the Reader's Digest Most Trusted Brand for the 10th consecutive year.
"We are very proud of it and we feel we should share this with everyone especially those in Sabah," Chin said.
