WONG also touched on the recent withdrawal of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) direct flight services between Sabah and Japan, accusing the Transport Minister of not doing anything on the matter which affects the State's tourism industry. He said it is strange that after providing the services for so long only now MAS realised that they are not making money from these routes.

"The Minister just said that is a business decision.

"So now as the cabotage policy is already killing the State manufacturing industry, it looks as if their next target is to kill the tourism industry in which Sabah has been doing very well by not asking MAS to do anything.

"Being a Transport Minister he should be discussing with MAS about the matter, to ask the airline company to help the Sabah tourism industry," he said.
