Kota Kinabalu: Investigations are underway into Friday's food poisoning case at SJK (C) Lok Yuk in Menggatal where pupils consuming the free UHT milk vomited and were sent to hospital.It is being done by the manufacturer, Sabah International Dairies Sdn Bhd (SID), the contractor to the Ministry of Community Development and Consumer Affairs and the Ministry of Education (national) to supply and deliver milk to primary schools statewide.

"We are very concerned but surprised that no one from the school contacted our office yesterday when it happened," said CEO Datuk Arul Pragasam.

Being a non-school day, his office was unable to contact the principal or any of the teachers on Saturday.

The Health Ministry had taken samples from the school and SID would also send some samples to an external laboratory for testing.
