Living condition of poor K'gau family of 11 raises questions

Keningau: The living condition of a poor family of 11 in Kg Pelapikan Jaya Baru, located 14km from the township, has stirred questions as to what happened to their housing for the poor programme (PPRT) application.The family's plight was highlighted by the former Village Development and Security Committee Vice Chairman, Christopher Sakunil, here, Wednesday. "Mokalis Kausoh, aged 43, is still living in an old abandoned house together with his wife and nine children, despite having applied for the PPRT," said Sakunil.

"I sympathise with their hardship and want to help Kausoh solve the poverty issue he is facingÉeven his children are malnourished and they're living in a house which is located on a paddy field," he said. "Their application for the PPRT assistance should have been approved," he said, urging the Government to help resolve the matter.
