Kota Kinabalu: Puteri Umno movement chief, Datuk Rosnah Shirlin, expressed concern that another Sabahan has been detained in China for being a drug mule - believed to be the eighth so far.
She said the life of Fazlinah Jamlan, a single mother from Kg Kelumbai, Dundau, near Kota Belud, changed negatively after migrating to Kuala Lumpur.
"Without making assumptions, we will give full moral support to her family and we are ready to co-operate with the Foreign Ministry to get a clearer picture on what had happened."
"We must assist the younger generation who might be na•ve and are easily manipulated into becoming drug mules," she said.
She said further assistance was needed from the Immigration and Customs departments for the problem to be under control.
"We need more restrictions to be conducted by them to prevent such cases happening again.
"The government will be continuously committed in terms of its participation in saying no to drugs," she added.
