Panic fuel buying in Kunak

The Petronas station in Sapang, Kunak was quiet from 3pm to 6pm and most vehicles using petrol turned up at the Esso gas station.
The traffic congestion there was caused by drivers' haste to top up fuel.
One motorist named Zali said he had to buy fuel that afternoon because he was worried there would be no more supply. "It caused me to panic". "Usually, I would only fill up the tank with RM10 a day, but this afternoon, I spent RM30."
