Kota Kinabalu: About 15,000 Muslims took part in a State-level celebration which was attended by the Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, and his wife, Toh Puan Norlidah Datuk RM Jasni, at the State Mosque in Sembulan, Kota Kinabalu, Thursday.

Earlier, Juhar and his wife, together with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and State Cabinet Ministers, led a procession involving 98 contingents from various government departments and agencies, the private sector, schools and NGOs from Padang Merdeka to the State Mosque.

At the event, former Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Abdul Ghani Rashid and Dr Anang Langka Mat Kassim received the Maulidur Rasul awards and took home RM7,000 and a certificate each.
