Man (believed stabbed) found dead

Penampang: The body of a 28-year-old man was discovered by villagers lying in a pool of blood in a premises in Kg Hungab, here, early Monday.

Dany Lutian, an IMM13 cardholder, was believed to have been stabbed after getting embroiled in a heated argument with neighbours after a drinking session at about 4am.

A 27-year-old resident described the victim as a jovial person who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

"It's shocking to know that he went the way he did," he said.

The body has been sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post mortem.

District Deputy Police Chief Supt. Wan Bahrul Hisham said police detained a 42-year-old man in Donggongon Town around 6am the day to facilitate investigations.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
