Kota Belud: Heavy rain in Kota Belud on Friday caused the town to be hit with flash floods. The Kota Belud pavilion which was used to launch the Sabah Harvest Festival on May 1 was also flooded due to overflow of the the Tempasuk River.Among the areas that were flooded were padi fields, farmers' markets, the road around the Gui Brothers shop area, the Kota Belud "Welcome" signage area near Public Bank and Esso Petrol Station. Kota Belud folks urged the authorities to improve the drainage system.
