Considering her appointment as a challenge, Hamisa promised to perform the role assigned to her to the best of her abilities.
She also thanked the Chief Minister for his trust and confidence in her to carry out the responsibilities as Assistant Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology.
Hamisa also expressed her appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
"We will work hard to provide the best services to the people in line with the principle of people first, performance now," she said.
Hamisa expressed her commitment to continue the programmes for the development and progress of Tanjong Batu.
According to her, the mandate given to her in the 13th general election on May 5 will be used to work harder for the welfare of the people.
"I wish to express my thanks to all voters (citizens of Tanjong Batu) and the machinery especially the Kalabakan Wanita Umno Jalinan Rakyat for giving me a strong mandate to represent the constituency.
In the election, Hamisa beat PAS candidate, Fatmawaty Mohd. Yusuf, buy a majority of 7,630 votes.
