Ford M'sia retail sales up 57pc in Q1

Kuala Lumpur: Ford Malaysia announced a strong first quarter results with retail sales up by 57 per cent year-on-year to more than 2,600 units, said David Westerman, Ford Export and Growth Operations, Regional Manager (Asia-Pacific). He attributed the better performance to high demand for popular models including the all-new Ford Focus, all-new Ford Ranger and Ford Fiesta.

"Our vehicle line-up in this country represents the best of what Ford has to offer - a focus on stunning performance, impressive smart technology and head-turning style.

"We expect Malaysian customers to continue to respond favourably.

"We are fully committed to building our product line-up in Malaysia and bringing world-class One Ford products and services to the country for the long-term," he said in a statement.
