Keningau: The State Education Department gave a high appraisal to the teachers who returned to their posts in schools near the Sulu conflict area in Lahad Datu.Director, Jame Alip said that although some of the teachers were still traumatised with the incident their strong spirit and concern for the students they agreed to come back and teach.

"We really praise the sacrifice of each teacher who are willing to face any situation in carrying out their duties," he said at the Education Director roadshow for Upper Interior Zone at Yuk Kong Hall near here Saturday.

During the roadshow, Jame also launched the donation fund to assist

teachers who lost properties when their houses were destroyed during the incursion a few months ago.
