DBKK takes 67 traffic offenders to City Court

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 67 cases under the Kota Kinabalu City Provisions of Parking Places By-Laws 2003 were heard at the City Court recently. City Hall Enforcement Department Director Abdul Mukti Muchlish said the cases were brought by two prosecuting officers, Sub Insp. Latizah Latip and Sub Insp. Susanah Lukas before Magistrate Nuruhuda Mohd Yusof.

A total of seven warrants of arrests were issued by the Magistrate for motorists' failure to attend the hearing.

The cases would be heard on July 24 in front of the same Magistrate.

City Hall withdrew eight cases under the same offence after those involved settled the cases out of court, while a total of 52 cases were postponed to Aug 24.
