Alor Setar: Nasim Sdn Bhd (Nasim), the importer and distributor of Peugeot cars in Malaysia, is aggressively mounting a nationwide network expansion exercise to bring the Peugeot brand to all major markets in the country.Chief Operating Officer Datuk Samson Anand George said to achieve the goal, four Peugeot Blue Box or sales, service and spare parts (3S) centres would be established this year to boost its presence.

He said demand for the continental model in Malaysia was expanding fast and this was evident from the sale of Peugeot cars which surpassed 6,000 units for the first time last year.

"We are set to sell about 8,000 units this year with the new 208 model poised to become our best seller," he said at the opening of the Alor Setar Peugeot Blue Box here Tuesday.

The new service centre, besides the Sungai Petani outlet, will enable Nasim to tap the growing demand for European cars in Kedah and Perlis.

"The market for this European model in the two states grew by a combined 120 per cent last year alone.
