CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman on Wednesday reiterated that no constituency, including those under the opposition in Sabah, will be deprived of development. Chastising Matunggong Assemblyman Jelani Hamdan for misleading the House, he said that he had given a written answer to Jelani much earlier.

"However, he decided to conveniently mention only a small portion of my answer, giving the impression as though opposition areas will be sidelined by the BN Government," he said.

Clearly upset with the allegation by Jelani, he also said the BN Government has never considered the opposition as "anak tiri" nor punishes the people, including constituencies won by the opposition.

Even Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, he said, accepted with humility the choice of the people, in reference to the point raised by the opposition that it won the 13th General Election because it obtained more popular votes than the BN.

"So, what are you excited about? What you said is as if we don't care about the poor.

It is unfair, what you saidÉthat we didn't do anything (for the people and areas under the opposition)," he said.

He said the government has set up agropolitan projects in Matunggong, including taking back or purchasing lands under Begaraya Sdn Bhd to be given to the people.

Earlier, Jelani claimed that opposition-led constituencies are sidelined from government development programmes.

He said that he also has proof of people having their names de-listed as recipients of 1Malaysia laptops for purportedly supporting the opposition.

He claimed that many leaders including people who don't deserve the aid from Sabah Rubber Industry Board (LIGS) have taken advantage or abused their position to obtain the aid.

To this, Musa challenged him to furnish the proof.

Jelani said the present government should also allocate funds even to opposition assemblymen to implement development projects like what the PBS Government did in the past.

The assemblyman's speech was however not plain-sailing as Sekong Assemblyman, Datuk Samsudin Yahya, Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Jainab Ahmad and Kunak assemblyman Datuk Nilwan Kabang kept interrupting him.

He also earned the wrath of the CM and BN assemblymen for saying in his opening speech that he hoped the Chief Minister and Cabinet will live up to their its billing as leaders for the people and not for Barisan and his Cabinet cronies.

At one point when Kepayan Assemblyman Dr Edwin Bosi tried to defend his colleague, Musa pointed at Bosi and told him to sit down.

"Kepayan, kau duduk. Kau tiada kena-mengena disini (Kepayan, you sit down.

You are irrelevant here).

"Your friend (Jelani only talks lies in this noble House," he said.

But when the Chief Minister said Jelani is only a new elected representative who had just quit Umno, the latter said it was getting too personal. When pressured by Musa and several BN assemblymen, Jelani offered his apology.

Nevertheless, Musa said the incident is a clear demonstration of the dirty, deceitful and malicious tactics of the opposition.

He said the intention was clearly to mislead the House and ultimately mislead the people.
