Lynas Corp appoints Steinmetz as new COO

Kuala Lumpur: Lynas Corporation Ltd has appointed Jean Claude Steinmetz as the new chief operating officer (COO) to be based in Malaysia. The appointment takes effect Monday. Steinmetz will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP) in Malaysia and the mining operations and concentration plant at Mount Weld in Western Australia.He has significant expertise in chemical engineering, extensive senior management and board level experience and indepth knowledge of the international automotive, chemical and materials industries.ADVERTISEMENT Steinmetz has worked in various countries for three major chemical and electrical corporations - DuPont de Nemours, General Electric and Solvay - for more than 30 years, providing him with relevant expertise in chemical process manufacturing.Lynas Corporation Chief Executive Officer Eric Noyrez said Steinmetz's experience would assist Lynas to strengthen customer relationships and help to develop other sales and business opportunities for the company throughout Asia, Western Europe and the Americas.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
