He said the committee has forwarded a couple of applications to the government for approval, adding the process has been smooth to date.
Teo said he hoped that all of the assistance, especially to Chinese schools and temples can be distributed by the end of 2013.
Teo was on a tour to the interior as part of its field programme to meet with Chinese grassroots leaders.
"This is just a normal visit set to create better relations and share opinions with non-governmental associations, church bodies, temples and school associations," he said, here Wednesday.
Teo, who is also the Tg Kapor Assemblyman cum National Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary-General, claimed his visit is to spend time with local leaders.
