KK High School, SM Chung Hwa (Sandakan), SMK Ken Hwa (Keningau) and SM Chung Hwa (Tenom) were among the 66 conforming secondary schools throughout the country which received a total of RM30 million from the Federal Government through the Education Ministry.
The first two schools received RM500,000 each while the next two RM600,000 each.
On hand to give out the cheques was Minister of Education I, Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching at the Education Ministry Auditorium, Parcel E, here.
She reminded the recipients that the allocations are meant for school repair, renovation and upgrading works.
Deputy Chairperson of the Association of Sabah National-Type Chinese School Management Committees, Lim Kiat Kong expressed the Association's appreciation for the financial allocations.
"We are very grateful to the Malaysian Government," he said.
