The two teams who had earlier met and ended with a 1-1 draw in their preliminary group match disposed of their semi-final opponents in contrasting style on Monday afternoon.
FC Kuala Lumpur who topped their group were made to sweat before overcoming a determined Tabs outfit thanks to an injury time own goal by their opponents for a hard fought 2-1 victory.
Tabs will only have themselves to blame as they had grabbed the equaliser a minute earlier and an unnecessary foul just outside the box by one of their players immediately after the restart resulted in the goal.
Maktab Sabah, on the other hand, had a relatively easy game as they cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over DPM Sports School with a goal in each half.
A total of eight teams took part in the annual event organised by Borneo Sports & Adventure Holidays and they were divided into two groups.
In Group A were FC Kuala Lumpur, Safa Papar, Sabah FC Academy and Maktab Sabah while DPM Sports School, Labuan Academy FC, Tabs and Tabs Tuaran were in Group B.
