Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Football Association has signed Syrian Marwan Sayedeh as their fourth foreign import player for the 2014 Premier League season on deadline day on Tuesday. The 30-year-old striker who flew in on Monday night was able to produce a clean bill of health before he was given the dotted line to sign.

It was understood that the Syrian international impressed head coach Milomir Seslija during their tour of Indonesia recently.

The player who played in the Indonesian league for the past four years was featured in the Sabah team against Metro FC in their first friendly match and scored a goal from the spot in their 3-0 victory.

He last played with Pelita Bandung Raya in the 2013 season where he netted a total of nine goals.

With his arrival, he is likely to be the main target man for the team as the other foreign import striker Altin Grbovic has so far failed to convince the doubters with his performance on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the team who has just returned on Monday night won two matches, drew one and lost one in the 16-day tour of Indonesia.
