The Chief Minister said the call by Umno President Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in his keynote address during the Umno General Assembly last December was welcomed.
In this respect, he said that with the introduction of the KPI at the grassroots level, the leaders must remain committed and continue to perform well to make the party stronger.
Speaking to reporters after delivering his message to the Umno Libaran grassroots leaders at Sri Libaran here Saturday, Musa said each of the calls made by the party president must be implemented from time to time apart from ensuring the unity and cooperation is bolstered.
Meanwhile, on the issue of increasing prices of food items in Sabah, he attributed this to the irresponsible middlemen greedy for more profits.
"The rise in food prices now is not only caused by the hike in fuel prices and electricity tariff but I can also see the elements of the middlemen in trying to reap extraordinary profits," he said.
"They raise prices as they like as an example, I was informed the price of tiger prawns has exceeded RM120 per kilogramme and this rise is too steep," he said.
In this respect, he said he would be raising the matter up to the Prime Minister and at the same time he wanted the role middlemen to be monitored for the sake of the people.
