Cyber cafe worker killed in mishap

Kota Kinabalu: A cyber cafŽ worker was killed in a mishap when a motorcycle he was riding collided with a 4WD vehicle at a junction off Taman Fu Yen at Jalan Kolam, Luyang at 1.40am on Tuesday.

Chang Teck Loi, whose wife is five-months pregnant and also has a five-year-old child, was pronounced dead at a hospital here at 11.30am after succumbing to serious injuries on his face.

He was believed to have come from Beverly Hill to go to Luyang when he ran into the 4WD vehicle driven by a 60-year-old man heading to Taman Fu Yen.

City Police Chief, ACP Jauteh Dikun, said police are seeking the cooperation of anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and facilitate investigation into the case.

Meanwhile, a Toyota Fortuner overturned after its 35-year-old driver avoided colliding with another vehicle at a road in front of City Mall on Monday.

But the driver who was heading from Lintas to Inanam escaped injuries in the 10.40pm mishap.
