According to City Hall's head of licensing, Joanna Johnny Goh, the 40 feet x 10 feet sized billboard was set up without City Hall's approval.
The management unit issued a notice on Jan 21 giving those responsible of putting it up, seven days to remove it.
However, due to inaction from their part, City Hall representatives had to take it down. In relation to this, she reminded the public to refrain from affixing billboards or advertisements without approval from City Hall.
According to Advertisements by-Laws 1983, City Hall is authorised to remove any advertisements without further notice.
