Filipina pedestrian hurt in mishap

Kota Kinabalu: A 45-year-old Filipina pedestrian hurt her hands and legs when she was knocked down by a 4WD at the Lintas traffic light junction, here, Tuesday.

The victim was crossing the road from Lintas to a residential area near the Wong Kwok office at about 11.30am when she was knocked down by the 4WD driven by a 49-year-old woman who was coming from Hilltop and heading to Lintas.

The Filipina was later sent to the hospital.

In another incident, a trailer laden with chemical items landed on its side near the roundabout at the Penampang Township at 10.30am.

The 36-year-old driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle which was heading from Sepanggar to the Sabah Forest Industries (SFI) in Sipitang. The driver was unhurt.

Sergeant Morni was at the scene to investigate.
