Published on: Friday, March 21, 2014

Kota Kinabalu: Three men escaped unscathed in two separate accidents, here, Thursday.

In the first accident, a 21-year-old man lost control of his Toyota Corolla vehicle, which skidded and crashed into a roadside railing near the railway station in Jalan Kepayan.

The man was said to be heading towards the Putatan area from the city centre when the 4pm accident occurred.

The impact caused the railing to break and hit a Kancil vehicle parked at the parking space of the railway station, causing damage to its bonnet.

The Kancil's 53-year-old owner claimed that this was the first time such incident has ever happened since he started working at the station years ago.

The Toyota, however, ended up totally wrecked.

In the second incident, a Nissan driven by a 36-year-old man collided with a Hyundai vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man along Jalan Lintas in front of the new RTM building.

It was learnt that the Hyundai vehicle came from the Lintas direction when it collided with the Nissan vehicle which was heading towards Putatan from the Lintas direction.
