Mitsubishi opens 7th centre

Kota Kinabalu: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) further expanded its presence here with the opening of a seventh 3S (Sales, service, spare parts) centre in Sabah, Saturday.

The newly launched 3S centre with a built up area of 59,174 square feet houses a fully equipped workshop with parts storage area, a premier customer lounge with Wi-fi connectivity and free car wash for all Mitsubishi customers.

This 3S centre which is located at Jalan Lintas Khidmat in Kolombong also comes equipped with five service bays and has a maximum capacity to service up to 200 cars a month.

The centre was officially launched by MMM Chief Executive Officer, Tetsuya Oda together with authorised dealer, TBNC Motor Sdn Bhd Managing Director Wee Kok Yiun.

According to Tetsuya, TBNC has been an authorised Mitsubishi Motors dealership since July 2012 and so far has another two 3S centres under its wings in Sandakan and Lahad Datu.

"TBNC Motor plans to open another 3S centre in Keningau this year and this means TBNC has strong commitment towards the Mitsubishi brand.

"I am confident that TNBC Motor offers great sales to the Mitsubishi customers," he said.

Tetsuya added that currently MMM has 13 showrooms in East Malaysia with seven 3S centres in Sabah and six 3S centrse in Sarawak and hoped to increase the number in the near future.

In another development, Tetsuya said last year MMM had sold close to 13,000 cars nationwide with East Malaysia accounting for about 3,100 cars.

Tetsuya said for this year from January to March MMM had so far sold 180 unit cars per month in Sabah and that he aimed to sell about 200 units per month.

To date, Mitsubishi Motors operates 57 showrooms and 50 service outlets throughout Malaysia.
