The Sukma team's victory was also a motivation boost before they go on to Sukma in Perlis where the Takraw event will kick-off on May 27.

"Our trip to Thailand was definitely very useful for the team as it was also a good preparation for our players before we head to Perlis.

"The main thing was not to bring back medals in Thailand but our players needed the experience and exposure besides taking in as much as they can from other players," said team manager, Awang Ibrahim.

According to Awang, the players showed great improvements after the Thailand outing, despite the trip being rather short.

"The players also had very good morale and discipline as well being very cooperative during the trip," he said.
