200 likely for oil-gas meet

Kota Kinabalu: The 3rd Sabah Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition (3rd SOGCE) which will be held on May 26 and 27 is expecting 150 to 200 delegates from overseas and the peninsula.The conference to be held at the Magellan Sutera Resort is to provide a platform for all industry players to share their expertise and learn the latest technology.

Besides that, the conference, supported by the State Government through the Ministry of Industrial Development will also provide opportunities for business networking and cooperation in advancing the progress of the oil and gas industry.

There will also be 70 exhibition booths with all the major industry players represented with the largest participation from Petronas.

There will be keynote addresses given by Petronas and Shell Malaysia followed by presentation of papers by Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation, Talisman Energy, OneSubsea and Offshore Business, MISC Bhd, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Altor Risk Group, Dupont and Murphy Oil.

There will also be three workshop sessions touching on the "Trading Initiatives in Oil and Gas" by Petronas Dagangan, "Logistics Management in Oil and Gas" by MISC Integrated Logistics Sdn Bhd, and "Career Opportunities in Oil and Gas" by panellists from Petronas, Shell Malaysia and Talisman Energy.
