Eight teams in Beaufort competition

Kota Kinabalu: A total of eight teams took part in the SAFA Beaufort President Cup competition, which started on Sunday.The tournament is organised by the Sabah Football Association Beaufort, and the aim is to unearth talented individuals to from a team for the Chief Minister's Cup which is set to take place in June.

SAFA Beaufort President Hj Razak Sulaiman said the eight teams that took part in the competition are Bingkul FC, Puragang FC, Membakut FC, RK FC, BKB FC, Bingkul FC Veteran, Riang Ria FTB and Pendidikan FC.

He said he was very pleased with the turnout and hope the players will play with good sportsmanship, and at the same time showcase their skills so that they could be selected to represent the district for the Chief Minister's Cup.

He also thanked the support of SAFA and the presence of its vice President Joehari Ayob as well as a few senior team players such as Sabri Sahar and import players Marwan Saydeh, Pocuca Pedrag, Andre Esposito and Jerome Suku Doe.
