Kota Kinabalu: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) chief publicity officer Albert Kok said DAP had claimed to be against the Hudud law, but yet has failed to stop its Pakatan Rakyat (PR) partner, PAS from tabling the Private Member's Bill in Parliament which, if passed, will pave the way to implement the Hudud law in Kelantan. He said DAP would be the one to blame if PAS' Private Member's Bill for implementation of Hudud law in Kelantan is passed in Parliament.

Although DAP, PKR and PAS are under PR, PAS always has a hidden agenda to implement the Hudud law in Malaysia, Kok claimed.

"PAS' intention to implement the Hudud law is obvious, but DAP seems too weak to stop PAS from tabling the Bill," he said.

Kok said DAP Sabah Chairman Jimmy Wong has challenged LDP President Datuk Teo Chee Kang to show his courage to leave BN, just like DAP would leave PR, should Umno support the Hudud Bill and not carry on 'politicking'.

In response to this, Kok said Wong should settle his PR family affairs first and stop PAS from tabling the Bill in Parliament if DAP was determined to reject the implementation of the Hudud law.

"DAP will be betraying the Chinese if the Hudud Bill is passed in Parliament.

"DAP has made numerous assurances that they will not allow PAS to table the Hudud Bill, look what happens now?"

Kok pointed out that DAP bore the responsibility to stop PAS from doing so and if they failed, DAP should pull out from PR.

"DAP often criticises MCA as a powerless ruling party.

"What about the seizure and detention of Alkitabs by the authority in Selangor despite the fact that DAP's representation is so dominant in the Selangor Government?"

Kok said the decision of the Bible Society Malaysia (BSM) to move its headquarters highlighted the society's loss of confidence towards the PR Government, including DAP.

"PR leaders have made numerous assurances, yet were powerless to stop such incidences. What have you, Jimmy Wong, done to stop these incidences?"

Kok said BN component parties believed in moderation, unlike the three parties under PR that had their own hidden agendas.
