Kota Kinabalu: City police have detained an accounts clerk in connection with the alleged robbery of RM130,000 cash belonging to her employer which she had earlier withdrawn from Standard Chartered Bank here on Friday.

The 26-year-old woman, who worked at Damai Plaza, claimed three men in a Viva pulled over near the bank and one of them alighted from the car and dragged her with the cash into the vehicle.

She claimed the robbers drove to the fourth floor car park of Wisma Merdeka and pushed her out of the vehicle before they fled.

Subsequently, she contacted and related the robbery to her employer before lodging a police report on the same day.

Police detained the woman on Saturday afternoon at Karamunsing to facilitate investigations into the case.
