It was learnt that the company called it a day about 4.30pm and while workers were doing some work inside the premises, they heard a loud sound only to find one of the glass panels had been shattered about 5.30pm.
A source claimed they have been facing problems with the alarm system, which would suddenly trigger during the night, since Saturday.
City Police Chief ACP Jauteh Dikun said no ball bearings were found at the scene so far and the police were continuing with their investigations.
On Jan 10, several ball bearings were recovered from business premises after a random drive-by shooting shattered the glass panels of a total of 46 business premises in Kota Kinabalu and Penampang.
