Kota Kinabalu: City Police Chief ACP Jauteh Dikun said the parents of a missing three-year-old boy, Low Min You, and a 31-year-old man have been remanded another three days.

Magistrate Herlina Muse granted the police application for them to be remanded under Criminal Procedure Code of 117 until Monday.

The earlier remand was supposed to end today (Saturday).

"However, we applied another three days as we want to probe further into the case. The Magistrate granted our application today (Saturday)," Jauteh said, when asked on the latest developments surrounding the mystery of Low who went missing last Friday (May 9).

The boy is still missing and the case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code for abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person.

The boy went missing from his father's Toyota Hilux Vigo which was stolen near a petrol kiosk in Kg Air that day.

The vehicle was recovered several hours later without the boy.

The boy was last seen dressed in a green T-shirt and brown shorts and was believed to have been asleep in the rear seat of his father's vehicle when his father, Low Yee Shang went to the toilet at the petrol kiosk at 5.35am.
