It was learnt that both vehicles were heading to Lintas from the airport direction when the mishap occurred at 10.30pm.
The accident occurred when the Ford driver, in his 20s, lost control of the wheel and rammed the rear of the Myvi.
The impact caused both vehicles to skid off the road. The Ford driver escaped injuries while the injured Myvi driver was sent to the hospital.
In another accident in the wee hours of Saturday at a housing park near Lido, a Ford Ranger skidded and crashed into an old Toyota vehicle parked next to a terrace house, damaging its gate.
Fortunately, the 50-year-old driver escaped unscathed in the 2.15am incident.
Sergeant Mornie was investigating at the scene in both mishaps.
