He also was fined another RM10,000 or two more months behind bars by Sessions Court Judge Ishak Bakri who convened the Special Corruption Court on Monday.
Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor Kevin Morais from the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission had amended the alternative charge which Riduan had on June 4 this year admitted to during the trial of his three main charges on which he was given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal.
Riduan who in January was convicted of raping the 12-year-old who he later married had offered the girl's father a gratuity to withdraw the rape report.
The charge stated that Riduan in an conversation with the father had said "saya sanggup kahwin dengan anak kamu, asalkan kamu menarik repot polis rogol terhadap saya, (I am willing to marry your daughter if you withdraw the rape police report against me).
He committed the offence between 9pm and 10pm on Apr 18, 2013 at a guardhouse of Institut Sinaran in Jalan Tuaran By-Pass, near here.
The offence under Section 16(b)(A) of the Anti-Corruption Act 2009 and punishable under Section 24 of the same Act carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and a fine of not less than five times the amount involved or RM10,000, whichever is higher.
During mitigation, counsel Ram Singh who appeared together with counsel YS Lo and Timothy Daut for Riduan suggested only three days' jail and a fine of RM10,000 to be imposed on Riduan saying that the victim and Riduan are a lawfully wedded couple with the both parents' blessings.
"We cannot deny the fact that they are now lawfully husband and wifeÉ there is a saying 'let them live happily ever after' since the victim had consented to the said marriage.
"Riduan was remanded for nine days at Kepayan Central Prison until his family was able to secure his release pending appeal against his sentence of 12 years' jail and two strokes of the cane for raping the girl.
"He told me that the nine days in prison were enough to frighten him and he was very remorseful," Ram said, adding that during both the rape and corruption trials there had been too much publicity on him which had also affected the victim.
Meanwhile, Morais asked for an appropriate sentence to be imposed on Riduan.
