M-cyclist badly hurt in mishap

Kota Kinabalu: Fire and Rescue officers had to saw off a motorcycle handle after its grip and brake lever pierced through the left thigh of a motorcyclist in an accident here on Monday.

Teguh Wahyudi, 29, was heading towards Kota Kinabalu when his motorcycle collided with a Mitsubishi vehicle in Jalan Bundusan at 11am.

He fell and his motorcycle crashed onto his left leg causing the grip of his motorcycle as well as the brake lever to pierce into his thigh.

He also broke both his arms in the accident.

Fire and Rescue officers who were called to the scene had to use an electric cutter to cut the motorcycle handle to free the victim before rushing him to the hospital.
